Judith Southerland

1947-2021

Judith Sue Overstreet Southerland, 74, of Moreland passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021. Born June 25, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Chester Overstreet and Velma Golda Cochran Overstreet Griffin. Judy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Glyn Southerland; son, David (Tamera) Southerland of Moreland; grandson, Dalton Ray Southerland of Moreland; and brother, Dewayne (Carolyn) Overstreet of Liberty. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Overstreet.

Judy had a strong Christian faith. She loved her family, enjoyed cooking for them, and was a great cook. Her favorite “go to places” were Mrytle Beach and Pigeon Forge. She enjoyed reading in her free time.

Visitation is 10am-1pm, Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm with Rev David Smith and Rev. Daryl Cone officiating.
