John Scott McCowan, 80, formerly of Danville, died Aug. 19, 2021, in Middletown, Ohio. He was the son of the late Lindsay and Cora McCowan. He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda McCowan Gregory. John Scott is survived by nephews, Arron and Da’Neil (Amber) Gregory; niece, Brittany Gregory; and brother in law, Michael Gregory. Memorial service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial Hilldale Cemetery 11 a.m.
