Teen D&D

On Saturday, Sept. 4 from 2-4 p.m., teens are invited to play the greatest role-playing game from the Wizards of the Coast. At this in-person event, teens can venture through campaigns that will test their ability to work together and conquer foes in this tabletop adventure. Registration is required to play. Go to www.boylepublib.org/teendnd to register. Face masks are required. (Ages 13-18)

Justice Bus: Estate Planning

Peace of mind is an important aspect of health. As we recognize Healthy Aging Month this September, ensure your peace of mind by exploring your estate planning options. On Thursday, Sept. 9 from 1-4 p.m., Andrew Lakin, Elder Justice Fellow at Legal Aid of the Bluegrass, will provide a brief presentation followed by a visit from the Justice Bus, which will be available for an on-site clinic. Masks are required.

Tween STEM

Tweens can test their STEM skills with an at-home experiment. Mix together your own dinosaur egg to then “hatch” out a mini dinosaur. Pick up a kit of supplies starting Friday, Sept. 10, and then watch tween librarian Kinsey Hisle in the accompanying video to see how to mold and hatch your dinosaur egg. While supplies last. (Ages 9-13)

Board Games Club for Adults

The library will pull out its collection of board games on Saturday, Sept. 11 from 2-5 p.m. Adults are invited to bring a friend and try out some new games or play old favorites. We’ve got games for all levels of players and staff eager to show you how to play. This event will be held in the Community Room at the library. Masks are required. (Ages 18+)

BOOK CLUBS for Tweens, Teens, and Adults:

Third Thursday AM Book Club

The Third Thursday AM Book Club returns in-person this month. In September the club will be reading Hannah Coulter by Wendell Berry. Copies of the book are available at the Circulation Desk. The book discussion will be held on Thursday, Sept. 16 at 10:30 a.m. Masks are required. (Ages 18+)

Teen LibCrates

Beginning on Friday, Sep. 3, Teen LibCrates may be picked up at the library, while supplies last. Each crate will include a free book, a craft, and more. The book for this month is A Song Below Water by Bethany C. Morrow. An in-person discussion of the book will be held on Sept. 28 to share thoughts about the book. Masks are required. (Ages 13-18)
