DHS class of 1961 holds 60th reunion

The Danville High School class of 1961 held its 60-year reunion Sept. 18 at Holiday Inn Express. The meal was catered by Chaplin River Catering Company. Eighteen class members and 13 guests enjoyed an evening of remembrances.
Door prizes were awarded to Nancy Bradley for most great-grandchildren, with seven, and to Sharon Terry Mann, who traveled the most miles to attend: 810 miles from Lutz, Florida.
Other out-of-state alumni included: Rodger Tully from The Villages, Florida, Patsy Reed Fox from Hart, Michigan, Laura Strong Shrewsbury from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Sam Hays from Clemmons, North Carolina, Anne Tate Wesley from Huntsville, Alabama, and Edwin Guttery from Brevard, North Carolina.
