BCEF chairperson John Russell said, “We’re excited to offer this incredible experience not only to the students of Boyle County Schools, but also to the community. The Boyle County Performing Arts Center is an exceptional space for the arts, and we’re delighted that the Lexington Ballet Company will present the first partnered production in its history.”

“One of our goals with the Performing Arts Center is for every K-12 child at Boyle County Schools to see a production in that space every year,” said Boyle County Schools superintendent Mike LaFavers.  “Lexington Ballet Company has graciously offered, as part of their contract with the Foundation, a daytime student performance. That means hundreds of our students will be able to take in this production at no cost to them. What better way to whet their appetite for the arts than to witness professional ballerinas sharing their craft live on stage.”

Artistic and executive director of Lexington Ballet Company Luis Dominguez said, “We are excited to bring ‘The Nutcracker’ to Boyle County and hope our efforts to inspire, educate and cultivate through the arts continue in the future with other productions.”

Tickets to the two public performances are for sale at bocopac.com.
