Hours after the Boyle County boys and girls swept the final district doubleheader of the season, seeds and pairings were set for the 45th District Tournament.
The Boyle boys and the Danville girls will be the No. 1 seeds for the tournament, which opens Monday at Danville.
Boyle won a coin toss with three-time defending champion Lincoln County that assured the Rebels of the No. 1 boys seed after the two teams tied for first place in the regular-season district standings with 7-1 records.
Garrard County prevailed in a three-way tie for the No. 3 boys seed and the last of the first-round byes. The fourth and fifth seeds, Danville and DCA, will play Monday for a spot in the semifinals.
On the girls side, two-time defending champion Danville, No. 2 seed DCA and No. 3 seed Garrard are in the semifinals. Fourth seed Lincoln and fifth seed Boyle will play Monday for the remaining semifinal slot.
