Boyle County Schools return to Green Status for Covid
Published 10:25 am Thursday, February 24, 2022
Due to a steady decline in COVID-19 cases for students and staff, all Boyle County Schools returned to GREEN status on the Communicable Illness Intervention Plan on Tuesday.
Administrators will continue to review school data and case counts. Schools will remain in green status until further notice.
Green status policies are as follows:
Masks are recommended, but not required, for all individuals while indoors. Masks are required at all times for all individuals on the bus.
Encourage students/staff to use proper hand washing and cough/sneeze covering etiquette at all times and throughout the day.
Offer hand sanitizer in classrooms for student use. Encourage hand washing over hand sanitizer use whenever feasible.
To the extent possible, separate students who are running fevers or showing other signs of contagious illness from others. Sanitize the area where the student was after the student leaves.
District personnel will stay in regular communication with local public health officials regarding all potential health issues.
Non-essential visitors (parents, guests, volunteers) are allowed entry per school policies. Essential visitors (service providers) are allowed entry.
If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school.
