Lara Akers of Danville was voted the 12th Region Girls Player of the Year by 12th Region Girls Basketball Coaches Association.
Akers was among eight area players voted to the 2022 All-12th Region Team selected by the 12th Region Girls Basketball Coaches Association.
Timberlynn Yeast of Mercer County and Desiree Tandy of Danville joined her on the first team.
Judie Mason of Danville was voted the regional coach of the year by the coaches’ association.
