She retired from the American Greeting plant in Danville where her husband also worked. Prior to this, Anna focused on being a housewife and mother, and when she decided to try outside employment, Robert jokingly said she “might last 2 months,” but she finally joined him in retirement after 27 years of continuous employment. Anna was known for her infectious laugh, often heard after relating or hearing a risqué joke; for her love of glitzy clothing and accessories; and for her kind and generous nature. She loved traveling to Florida to see family, going to Las Vegas or Biloxi to play the slots, trying her luck with scratch-off lottery tickets, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She enjoyed large family gatherings and all the fixings and traditions of holiday meals.

Anna lived the past eight years at McDowell Place of Danville where she again made a multitude of friends. She was very engaging, friendly, and fun-loving and will be greatly missed by both family and friends.

Visitation is 6-8 pm, Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Funeral Service is 1 pm, Wednesday with Bro. Keith Willoughby officiating. Pallbearers will be Charles Schaub, Danny Fields, Eli Schaub, Landon Reid, Fred Carnes, and Bob Sandidge.

Burial is in Hustonville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a Hospice organization of choice. A guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
