Former Boyle County Judge-Executive Tony Wilder (center) never expected to run in to a group of Centre College football players when he toured The Pearse Lyons Distillery in Dublin, Ireland last week.
Wilder, who was enjoying a British Isles cruise with his wife Sandy, was a long-time friend of the late Dr. Lyons. Lyons, the founder of Nicholasville-based Alltech, and his wife Deidre completed a stunningly beautiful renovation of St. James Church in 2017, believed to be the only church in the world to house a distillery.
