A Boyle County man, Colin Montgomery, was charged with the murder of his wife, Jennifer Montgomery, in March 2018.
Montgomery allegedly shot his wife outside their home on Shakertown Road. The trial was scheduled for late 2019, but was delayed. The trial started on Monday.
On the night of the shooting, Boyle County Sheriff’s deputies found Montgomery holding a phone and multiple firearms according to the Advocate-Messenger archives.
He allegedly shot his wife because he believed she was having an affair. A Kentucky State Police trooper said children were in the home at the time of the shooting.
