Anne Warren Byrom

Anne Warren Byrom died on July 27, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Washington, D.C. to Thurmond and Catherine Warren. She graduated from high school in Nederland, Texas and earned her RN Bachelor’s Degree at Texas Women’s College. She was active in the Masonic Rainbow Girls and her summers at her church, Camp Allen, were a highlight of her early years. She worked as an ER nurse at Parkland Hospital, Dallas TX, The University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, VA., and Ephraim McDowell Hospital. Anne was instrumental in starting the Hospice program in Danville and was the first Hospice nurse for Boyle and surrounding counties for over ten years. She was dedicated to the Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and helping with the “Soups On Us” program where she was known as “The Cookie Lady”. She was well known as the ticket lady and on stage for the West T. Hill theatre in Danville. She completed the 1987 Leadership Danville Class and was a Chamber of Commerce Arts Award winner. She is predeceased by her brother, Charles Warren of Austin, Texas. She leaves her husband of 60 years, Richard (Dick) Byrom and her children, Richard Bruce (Angela) Byrom, Deborah Anne (Brian) Coffman and Warren David (Lina Tharsing) Byrom; her brother, Joe Warren of Walnut Creek, California; and her grandchildren, Jayce and Jadyn Coffman. The funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday at The Presbyterian Church, Danville with Rev. James Erwin officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 4 – 6 p.m., at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the West T. Hill Theatre. The online guestbook is available at www.stithcares.com
