Wanda Ray Engle Shewmaker, 82, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022. She was born January 30, 1940 in Danville, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Walter and Berlie Crowe Engle and was the wife of the late, Talmadge “Tuck” Shewmaker who passed in 2010. Her family was most important to Wanda. She was a true servant and was always looking for ways to help others. Her family will miss her greatly as they find it difficult to say goodbye to someone they cherish. Survivors include four children, Suzetta (David) Phelps, John (Edna Alexander) Shewmaker, Tammy Shewmaker, Devon (Brooke) Shewmaker, seven grandchildren, Kelley Lynch, Jordan (Shawna) Shewmaker, Joe Shewmaker, Samantha (Ray) Mason, Skylar, Addy, Sawyer Shewmaker, one great-grandchild, Lincoln Mason, three sisters, Nannie Roysdon, Edna Shannon, and Ina Shaw. In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by two brothers, William “Pete” and Warren Engle. Cremation was chosen and there are no services scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of Walden Funeral Home.
