Mary Ann Russell Reeves, 79, of Danville passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Born in Casey County on February 2, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Thomas S. and Bessie Hafley Russell. Mary Ann was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cyanna, and 5 siblings. Mary Ann was a graduate of Hustonville High School Class of 1959, receiving the Betty Crocker Award. She loved working with children in Sunday School and Bible School and had a passion for missions. She was a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. Mary Ann was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert E. Reeves; a son, David (Rhonda) Reeves of Danville; 2 daughters: Tracy Reeves and Tammy Wash, both of Danville; a sister, Helen Vanoy of Junction City; 4 grandchildren: Tyler (Kellsey) Wash, McKenzie (Scott) Joseph, Caitlyn Reeves, and Christian Reeves; and 3 great-grandchildren: Wyatt and Elliott Wash and Adeline Joseph. Private services will be held with burial at Danville Memorial Gardens. Dr. Tommy Valentine will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions suggested to St Jude children’s Research Hospital. A Guestbook is available at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
