East Main Street by Henson Park in Danville was closed tonight due to flooding.
Water from the Henson Park retention pond covers the road.
A section of East Main Street by Henson Park in Danville was closed to through traffic Thursday evening due to flooding.
The stormwater retention pond at Henson Park has overflowed. Water currently sits throughout low points of the park, stretching across the street, sidewalks, and nearby lawns.
Heavy rain started early Thursday morning and continued until nightfall.
Many roads throughout the county were flooded. Judge Executive Trille Bottom gave video updates on the Boyle County Fiscal Court Facebook page.
The Forkland Community Center is one building that was flooded and will have significant damage.
