Edith Jean (nee Gemmer) Switzer, 94, of Danville, formerly of Bellevue, Kentucky, died February 21, 2023, in Danville. She was born August 11, 1928, in Newport, Kentucky, to the late Hommer and Eve L. (nee Strub) Gemmer. Jean was devoted to her husband and children. She is predeceased by her siblings; Eva May (Howard) Nolan, Laura L. (Richard) Swartsel, Hommer E. (Marlene) Gemmer; and brother-in-law, Raymond Beck.
Jean is survived by her husband of 76 years Roy Lee Switzer; her children, Connie L. (nee Switzer) (Daniel H.) Owings and Jeanne M. Switzer; sister, Janet Beck; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A graveside service and burial will take place on March 2, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, Kentucky. Memorial donations are suggested to the charity of your choosing. The online guestbook is available at www.stithcares.com.
