Four arrested in drug bust on Alum Springs Road

Deputies with the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office made four arrests after a drug bust on March 23.
They were conducting a narcotic’s investigation on a residence on Alum Springs Road. Through the investigation, enough evidence was obtained to secure a search warrant at the residence.
Deputies executed the search warrant, which led to a seizure of fentanyl/heroin, methamphetamine, large amount of cash, scales, baggies, and other drug paraphernalia items. Four people were arrested.
James “Jimmy” Baker was arrested and charged with:
• Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
• Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Offense, Carfentanil or Fentanyl Derivatives
• Drug Paraphernalia (Buy/Possess)
• Possession of Marijuana
• Baker was also arrested for a indictment warrant with the following charges: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense/Methamphetamine; Tampering with Physical Evidence; Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess.
David Jeremy Hardin was arrested and charged with:
• Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
• Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Heroin).
Melanie Dawn Wilson was arrested and charged with:
• Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine).
John Christopher Montgomery was arrested for two active warrants.
