• Heritage Hospice Inc. will host a New Volunteer Training on Saturday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Heritage Hospice Office, 120 Enterprise Drive in Danville. Volunteer opportunities include; clerical work, patient visits, fundraising and special events. Contact Volunteer Services Coordinator, Renee Bibler, at 859-236-2425, ext. 212, to register. The deadline to register is Tuesday, April 18.
• CentreWorks is hosting Germaine on Main 2.0 on Friday, April 21 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Germaine Dunn is a local visual artist and he will be showing artwork at the event. People will be able to meet and talk to him, and learn about how Germaine’s art has been influenced by his experiences and values, including difficult topics like recovery.
• The 2023 Earth Day Festival is happening Saturday, April 22, at the Boyle County Extension Office, 99 Corporate Drive, from 11 am to 3 pm. More than 35 local organizations will be there to share information on healthy living, nature appreciation, and how to address environmental threats. Commercial exhibitors include renewable energy providers and energy efficiency. Live music will be provided by Kirsten Carey and by Shane White. Food and concessions will be available.
