“I love serving the students of Danville, and being part of a small district that can work together to support all students as they grow and learn,” Hambrick said. “I look forward to continuing to work with the staff, families and students to make Hogsett the best place for the earliest learners in Danville. I hope to continue to lead the work at Hogsett for many years to come.”

Hambrick earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Kentucky, and went on to earn a master’s in instructional technology from Georgetown College.

Before coming to Danville Schools, Hambrick served at Fayette and Jessamine County schools where she taught kindergarten, as well as first, third and fourth grades. She was a technology teacher for elementary students of all ages and an instructional coach for teachers.

Hambrick came to Danville Schools because she enjoys having a diverse range of students.

“I have made my career out of working with students who are diverse,” she said. “They have different experiences than I do and getting to continue that work by serving the students of Danville was a perk for me when I transferred to the district.”
