Brass Band Gallery Hop is Thursday

NEWS RELEASE
The Arts Commission Gallery Hop will have a new look and new hours this year. The new hours are 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday. The new look is pretty obvious and welcome. The downtown sidewalks, lighting and landscaping are very nearly finished after months of anticipation. All the details may not be complete by the weekend, but the changes to the sidewalks will offer a much more pleasant experience for shoppers, strollers and visitors.
Several new artists and many local favorites will be on hand to meet collectors and discuss their work. Hop stops range along Main Street from Danville Bike and Footwear to Cerci and Dry Stack. Don’t miss the 3rd Street corridor from West’s Wing to CentreWorks.
Gallery Hop guides will be available at all Hop stops, online at www.danvillearts.org, and linked through the Arts Commission Facebook page. Hop stops will be marked with purple ARTS banners.
Come early, meet artists and shop at downtown businesses, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and stay for the First Thursday Brass Band concert in Weisiger Park featuring Power Play beginning at 7 p.m.
