Numerous vendors were providing food and sweet treats. One vendor, the Lions Club of Perryville, was grilling up burgers and BBQ for a good cause.

“We have been doing this for about 35 years now, selling burgers for all of our charities,” said Perryville Lion Tony Wilder. “We focus on eyesight and improving people’s ability to get eyeglasses. We support the Kentucky Lions Eye Foundation in Louisville and a number of youth related charities. We are one of the only clubs I know of who grills burgers. We brainstormed the idea back together in the 80’s. We get our meat from Uncle Charlie’s in Richmond. It has been a good lucrative project, it is hard work, but it is good. We had a good first Tuesday night, even better than last year. We are pleased with the intake.”

The fair is at a new location on Smoky Way off the bypass behind Danville Fire Department Station 2 and the Danville Eye Center. The fair continues through Saturday.
