Martha Jacqueline “Mutt” Christian Smith, 91, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023. Martha was born August 25, 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky a daughter of the late William and Ina Victoria Glock Christian. In early childhood she became known by her lifelong nickname Mutt. She and her devoted husband, Ralph were married 50 years.
Mutt retired as a cafeteria worker at Boyle County High School. She and Ralph are members of the First Church of God in Danville. She enjoyed sewing and making quilts, flowers, reading and hummingbirds.
Survivors, including her husband, Ralph, are two children, Debbie Minks Stevens, Terry Eugene Minks and his fiancé, Dotty Chadwell, six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four siblings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Walden Funeral Home with Bro. Stacey Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Parksville Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from 11:00 a.m., until 1:00 p.m., also at Walden Funeral Home.
Casket bearers will be Stacy, Ray, Colton Wilson, Robbie Stevens, and Anthony Gilven.
