Danville PD, BCSO assist in apprehension of fleeing suspect

Danville Police and the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office were notified at 2:15 a.m. on June 22 about a multi-agency police pursuit heading toward the city limits of Danville. Officers with the Liberty Police Department were attempting to apprehend Aaron Jackson, 27, of Danville on multiple offenses. The pursuit entered Danville from US 127 and lasted several minutes within the city limits, as the suspect failed to yield.

Danville Police and Boyle Sheriff’s deputies were able to assist with containment and the safeguarding of intersections as the pursuit continued. Danville Police successfully deployed spike strips in the area of Jane Trail. Jackson’s vehicle eventually came to a stop on South Second Street, and he was taken into custody without incident.

Liberty Police charged Jackson with multiple offenses including parole violation warrant, fleeing/evading police, speeding, operating on a suspended license, DUI, reckless driving, fourth degree domestic assault – third offense in five years, second degree domestic violence assault and burglary first degree.
