BOYLE DISTRICT COURT

Cases handled recently in Boyle District Court, listed by name, charge, fine and jail sentence, where applicable, include the following. Court costs also were assessed in most cases.

• Brent Arnett Thomas: 2 counts of violation of Kentucky emergency protective order / domestic violence order, 365 days, suspended 354 days, credit for 11 days served, 2 years probation, to run concurrent with each other.

• James L. Hartley: fourth-degree assault minor injury, amended to domestic violence minor injury, 90 days, suspended 87 days, credit for 3 days served, 1 year probation, complete substance abuse and mental health evaluation.

• Rebecca Ann Coffman: fourth-degree assault domestic violence minor injury, 180 days, suspended 150 days, credit for 6 days served, 2 years probation, no contact with alleged victim, complete anger management evaluation.

• Jordan Michael Parrott: DUI aggravated circumstances, 4 days, credit for 1 day served, $200 fine.

• Dakota J. Moore: DUI, $200 fine.

• Ramie L. Abner: controlled substance prescription not in original container, 30 days, suspended 30 days, 1 year probation; third-degree possession of controlled substance (drug unspecified), same sentencing as above charge.

• Akili Simpson: menacing, 30 days, suspended 29 days, credit for 1 day served, 1 year probation.

• Sean Ganem: resisting arrest, 14 days, credit for 14 days served, concurrent with state time.

• Deboxrah Hobbs: theft by deception include cold checks, 90 days, suspended 90 days, 1 year probation.

• Eldon L. Washington: DUI, amended to public intoxication of controlled substance, 90 days, suspended 89 days, credit for 1 day served, 1 year probation.

• Meril A. Childers: second-degree criminal trespassing, 30 days, suspended 28 days, credit for 2 days served, 1 year probation, no contact with 102 W. Broadway.

CIVIL JUDGMENTS

• Christopher Devine: first-degree possession of controlled substance (meth), 1 year; buy / possess drug paraphernalia, 12 months; operating on suspended / revoked license, 90 days; first-degree bail jumping, amended to second-degree, 12 months, above charges to run consecutively to below charges; 2 counts of first-degree bail jumping, 1 year, concurrent to each other.

• Patrick Smith: first-degree promoting contraband, 2 years, suspended 2 years, 5 years probation.

• Mark Stinnett: trafficking in controlled substance (heroin), amended to first-degree (drug unspecified schedule 1 and 2), 5 years, suspended 5 years, 5 years probation; first-degree promoting contraband, 2 years, suspended 2 years, 5 years probation, to run concurrently with above charge; driving on DUI suspended license second offense, 12 months, suspended 12 months, 5 years probation, to run consecutively with above charges.

• Aaron Steele: second-degree escape, 4 years, consecutive to a Mercer County case.
