7 face drug charges after domestic disturbance call

NEWS REPORT

On Sunday July 16 Danville Police responded about 2 p.m. to the area of JE Woods Drive for reports of a domestic disturbance. Officers were able to locate one of the involved parties inside an apartment.

Once inside the residence, officers observed a male snorting suspected narcotics from a table and another chopping and cutting up suspected narcotics. Several individuals were located inside, five of which required immediate medical attention due to suspected overdose.

Danville City Fire and Boyle County EMS were summoned to the scene and five individuals were transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. After receiving medical treatment, all individuals were criminally charged. Two other subjects inside the residence did not require any medical attention, but were charged as well.

Suspects charged were: John Al-Mujahid, possession of a controlled substance first degree; Dexter Grey, possession of a controlled substance first degree and possession of marijuana; Shakain Al-Mujahid, possession of a controlled substance first degree and assault 4th degree domestic violence; Cody Ragle, possession of a controlled substance first degree; Ashley Snow, possession of a controlled substance first degree; Chasity Washington, possession of a controlled substance first degree and assault 4th degree domestic violence; Zachary Dawson, possession of a controlled substance first degree.
