The City of Danville gave a downtown construction update. Crews are working to prepare the bases for the traffic light mast arms, which will be one of the last pieces of the Streetscape Project, once they’re delivered. Due to the equipment required to drill the large holes for these bases, some lane/road closures will be necessary.

Here is the expected schedule:

• 8/30 – 9/5 – Crews will complete the bases at S Third and Main, and then move to N Third and Main.

• 9/6 – 9/7  – 2nd and Main

• 9/8 – 9/11 – 4th and Main

Please be aware this schedule may change based on weather and ground conditions. Crews will be working during common business hours through the week and should not greatly impact weekend traffic. Please use caution when you’re traveling through the area.
