Bird’s Nest Brewing is the latest microbrewery in Danville. The brewery currently offers more than 10 house beers. The owner of the brewery, Morgan Bird, has a decade of experience in the adult beverage industry.
“I started at Beer Engine as a bartender,” Bird said. “I got more interested in the behind-the-scenes processes of it and how you create the beer and the flavors that people like and enjoy. I asked the owner how he does it and he took me under his wing to show me how to make a product that people enjoy.”
The brewery offers different seasonal beers throughout the year.
“We have a Dunkel and an Oktoberfest on right now,” Bird said. “In winter, we will do more stouts and porters. It is a slow progression. Making beer is a fun blend of art, culture and biology.”
Bird’s Nest Brewing is family friendly and offers food.
“We are fortunate we found a big enough space to offer a food menu,” Bird said. “We want a relaxed environment where people can come and enjoy a pint or some wine and relax with their friends.”
Located at 600 S. 4th St. in Danville, Bird’s Nest Brewing is open Wednesday through Saturday. Weekday hours are 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. and it is open until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
