A Washington County man was arrested recently when police say he shared obscene material with a Boyle County deputy the suspect believed was a juvenile.

Jeffrey Beck, 44 of St. Catharine, was arrested by the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office when he allegedly distributed an obscene video and image of himself to who he believed was a juvenile female residing in Boyle County. Beck was in fact communicating with a Boyle County Deputy who was conducting an undercover online operation targeting child exploitation.

Beck was arrested and lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center where is he charged with two counts of Promoting and Procuring Sexual Performances by Minor by Electronic Means and two counts of Distributing Obscene Matter to Minor.
