Pet of the Week

Our superstar pet this week is Ana. She is a very good girl who loves to run, eat the whole tennis ball, and is very smart. Her owner had to move across the country and could not take her along, so she’s with us until she finds her perfect family. Anna is a medium-sized German shepherd with a big smile, very intelligent, and loves to work on new tricks.

You might notice that she has one good eye. Basically, Ana’s a pirate! She’s still looking for the blingiest eyepatch ever…maybe you can help? Since Ana has only one good eye, she can misjudge the distance to the treat in your hand. She is very good at Sit, is working on Stay and Down, and is house-trained. She also gets along with other dogs and would like to meet any resident dogs before committing.

Ana would love a new home where she can run in the yard, have some time to snuggle on a couch and watch Golden Bachelor, and eat some very delicious meals. She could definitely gain some weight to get to her ideal figure. Ana is not a barker, but a tail-wagger.

Ana is 4 years old and weighs in at 54 pounds. She is high energy and very loving and cheerful.

Ana is fixed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to go shopping for a fancy eyepatch. With YOU! Apply now: and meet her at DBCHS between 1-4 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 1-7 pm Thursday, and Saturday between 10 am-3 pm. We hope to see you soon!
