William T. May III (Tommy), 75 passed away Thursday Dec. 14, 2023. Tommy was born in Danville, Dec. 16, 1947, a son of the late, W.T. and Louise G. May.

Tommy enjoyed restoring, operating and showing antique gas engines and model railroading. He also enjoyed traveling and had visited forty-eight states, including six extensive visits of the west and two trips to Ireland. He retired from Florida Tile after 37 years of service. Tommy loved to hang out at the Perryville Post Office and Mr. Misers chatting with his friends and neighbors.

Tommy is survived by his sister, Nancy G. (Walter) Parr, two nieces Stephanie Hill, Jennifer Park, five great-nieces and nephews, Justin and Josh Kinney, Gracia Park, Andrew Parr, and Payton Hill. He is also survived by his extended family Starla Huddleston and Ernie Peters.

In addition to his parents Tommy was preceded in death by his life-long friend, Tommy Peters.

He has mowed his yard for the last time.

Tommy’s wishes for cremation have taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
