Eleanor Jancauskas Elias, 79, passed away on Sunday evening, Dec. 17, in Danville. She was preceded in death by Joseph Elias, father Edward Aloysius Jancauskas, and mother Eleanor Stupur Jancauskas. She is survived by sons John Paul and Joseph Andrew (Stacey), brother Edward (Mary), granddaughters Sarah Elizabeth (William) and Rebecca Marie (Nathaniel), and grandsons Aidan Joseph and Patrick Calvin.

Eleanor was born on Nov. 9, 1944, in the Roseland neighborhood of Chicago, and was a congregant of the All Saints Lithuanian Roman Catholic Church on South Wabash Avenue. She moved to Danville in 1970, where she owned and operated Eleanor Elias’s Beauty Salon until the mid 1990s. She was an unwavering fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats and an active member of the community.

Eleanor was a long-standing parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
