“I’m honored to be able to continue to serve the students, staff and community of the Danville Schools in the role of assistant superintendent,” Gover said. “It takes all of us working together to provide the quality of education our students deserve, and I’m happy to be a part of it.”

As assistant superintendent, Gover will guide, support and provide oversight for the general operations of the school district. This includes various programs, policy and procedure, special projects, and more. He will continue serving as the district technology director, providing district support of SBDM councils, and working with schools regarding staffing allocations.

In his former roles, some of his responsibilities have included working with federal programs, implementing new technology software and hardware, overseeing human relations, and managing various district budgets. His first job in the district was as a math and language arts teacher at John W. Bate Middle School, beginning in 2001.

“I’m excited to welcome Brian Gover into the position of assistant superintendent,” said Superintendent Ron Ballard. “His years of experience with the district and diverse skill set make him a great person for the job.”
