Roger Dean Turner

Roger Dean Turner, age 60, passed away on Dec. 26, 2023, leaving a void that cannot be filled for those who loved him. He was born on Oct. 7, 1963, to Don and Patsy (Satterfield) Turner in Louisville. He grew up in Danville where he excelled in both academics & athletics. Roger was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He lived a life marked by his character, loyalty, and honesty. Roger touched the lives of many with his generous spirit and larger-than-life personality. He was completely devoted to his family, and had many interests and a love of learning.

Roger was accomplished in education & in business. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University, and a masters in Business Administration from University of Kentucky. He was goal oriented, and his acute business sense was only matched by his fun-loving sense of humor. Roger was known for being hard-working and dedicated, which served him well throughout his career. He never backed down from a challenge in work or play, and his energetic spirit kept everyone around him going. Those close to Roger knew how deeply he cared, and the love for his family was unparalleled. Words cannot express the pride and joy Roger felt for them, especially his children.

Roger is survived by his college sweetheart and loving wife of 33 years, Kory Sprauer Turner; son: Kyle Turner; daughter: Jacquelyn Turner; parents: Don Turner and Pat Depp; sister: Donna Turner Farmer and husband, John; nephew: Will Stephenson; and a host of extended family and friends who will help carry on his memory.

Services were held Dec. 30 at Rest Haven Funeral Home.
