Mi Rancho, Perryville’s new Mexican and pizza restaurant, celebrated its grand opening on Jan. 8. The restaurant’s owner, Alejandro Villalpando Hernandez, is grateful for the support the community has given Mi Rancho.

“We are thankful and surprised by the support from the community and all the people here in Perryville,” Hernandez said. “We didn’t expect for so many people to welcome me with open arms. I thank the City of Perryville for opening their doors to us starting a business here.”

Hernandez has worked in the restaurant industry for nearly 10 years and has five years of experience as an owner. He created a combined Mexican and pizza joint to bring different cuisines together.

“The idea was suggested by a friend,” Hernandez said. “I have incorporated different styles, toppings, and platters that people have come to enjoy.”

Main Street Perryville director Aly Huff is glad to see new businesses opening in Perryville.

“We are really excited,” Huff said. “Our community is loving it, we are loving it. It is a great restaurant and a great addition to our downtown.”
