On Jan. 12, Boyle County Sheriff’s deputies received a complaint of a stolen car hauler trailer from Lancaster Road (KY52). Through investigation, with the assistance from the Danville 911 Center, deputies were able to develop a suspect and the location of the suspect whom resides in Waynesburg. The Boyle County Sheriff’s Office teamed up with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and responded to that residence.

Through investigation, deputies were able to arrest two subjects and learn the location of the stolen trailer which was at a different location. Deputies from both agencies went to that location, also in Lincoln County just outside of Stanford on US150, where the trailer was located. However, the trailer was cut up into numerous pieces.

Arrested was Jeffery Johnson of Waynesburg, who was charged with the following receiving stolen property, criminal mischief. :

Also arrested was James Neikirk of Waynesburg. He was also charged with receiving stolen property.

Both suspects were lodged into the Boyle County Detention Center.
