Betty Ann Thompson Jackson was called home on Thursday, February 1, 2024. She is the widow of Clyde Jackson, her beloved husband of 69 years. Betty was born November 12, 1929, in Danville to the late Floyd and Mable Johnson Thompson.

Betty will be remembered for her active involvement in the community. She was one of the founding members of the Happy Valley 4-H Club, treasurer for the Boyle County Extension Council, and a lifelong member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. Together with her husband, she co-founded and worked tirelessly to grow Caverndale Farms, leaving a lasting impact on the local agricultural landscape. She will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family, friends, and community and her kind spirit, unwavering devotion, and humble nature will be dearly missed.

Betty is survived by her three loving daughters, Patricia (Morris) Stewart, Jenny (Tim) McCoy, and Brenda (Barry) Welty, all of Danville. She will forever be remembered by her six grandchildren, Chris (Heather) Stewart, Brooke (Neal) Brown, Matthew (Misty) McCoy, Casey (Tinsley) McCoy, Brett (Vanessa) Welty, and Lee (Laura) Welty. Her legacy lives on through her nine great-grandchildren, Coleman Stewart, Keenan Stewart, Adalyn Brown, Anslee Brown, Dax Brown, Ryley McCoy, Aikyn McCoy, Ava Welty, Anisten Welty, and Augustus Welty.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 6, from 4-7 PM at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 7, at 1 PM at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, with Dr. Tommy Valentine officiating. Burial will take place at Bellevue Cemetery following the funeral service. Pallbearers are Chris Stewart, Brooke Brown, Neal Brown, Matthew McCoy, Casey McCoy, Brett Welty and Lee Welty. Honorary pallbearers are Charlotte Wren, Ruth Goodin, Mable Wren, and Kenny Hampton.
