Linda Mae Riley

Linda Mae Riley, 64, of Lancaster, passed away January 29, 2024 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was born in Boyle County on January 5, 1960 to Pauline Whitlock Douglas and the late Henry Gene Douglas.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Michael Joseph Riley. Linda was a Boyle County High School graduate and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelors in Education. She graduated from Georgetown College with her Rank 1. She was a retired teacher from Garrard County Schools. Linda enjoyed going to car shows with her husband, traveling, going out to eat and was a member of the Baptist faith.

Linda is survived by her husband, Mickey Riley of Lancaster; mother, Pauline Douglas of Boyle County, two sisters, Debra Jean Haydon of Boyle County and Judy A. Kail (Gary W., Sr.) of Frankfort, uncle, Charles David Whitlock (Jeannie) of Danville, aunt, Carolyn Joyce Nevius of Stanford; nieces and nephews, Whitney Jo Forbes (Derek), Todd Franklin Haydon (Kari), Bryan Douglas Haydon (Ellie Holliday), Melissa A. Kail-Sawyers (Brandon) and Gary W. Kail, Jr (Tabitha); great nieces and nephews, Robbie Forbes, Natalie, Bethany, Weston, Olivia, Maisy and Liberty Haydon, and Katelyn Marie and Jacob Henry Sawyers. She is preceded in death by her father, Henry Douglas and sister, Evelyn Douglas.

Funeral services were at 1pm Monday, February 5, 2024 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Zak Lawson officiating. Burial followed at Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation was from 3-6pm on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Todd Haydon, Derek Forbes, Bryan Haydon, Debra Jean Haydon, Ed Weigel, and Gary Lawson.
