The Boyle County boys and girls swim teams won regional team championships and combined for their fourth consecutive combined team title Feb. 10 in the 6th Region Championships at Shelbyville.

The Boyle boys won their second straight regional title, and both the boys and girls won their third title in the past four seasons.

Clark Coyle of Boyle was named the outstanding swimmer of the meet after breaking regional and school records in the boys 100-yard butterfly and a regional record in the 100 backstroke and teaming with Ethan Gover, Luke Hamon and Beau Bostick to break regional and school records in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.

Boyle also got individual event wins from Ethan Gover in the boys 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle, Hamon in the boys 200 freestyle, Abigail Heath in the girls 50 freestyle and Hannah Bischoff, Edie Gover, Kate Hoffman and Heath in the girls 400 freestyle relay.

The Boyle boys outscored runner-up Woodford County 443-286, and the girls defeated North Oldham 322-297 at Clear Creek Family Activity Center.

A number of other swimmers and divers from Boyle, Danville and Garrard County qualified for the first round of the state meet Saturday at the University of Louisville. Other state qualifiers, with their regional finishes:
