Pet of the Week

This week’s Pet of the Week is here to help bring some balance and love to your life. Karma is 50 pounds of PURE love! She is attending Mutts With Manners and is earning gold stars all around. But maybe we should let her tell you about herself:
I am a ball full of joy!
I know no strangers and think everyone is my friend.
I love playing with other dogs and do not discriminate on breed or gender.
I like to play with my toys too! If you are busy I can entertain myself.
I am a little bit of a show off so I like to do tricks.
I can do all the basic commands I learned during obedience training such as sit, down, wait, leave it, come, heel, and stay. On top of that I love to roll over just so I can get some belly rubs.
I’m potty trained, crate trained, spayed, and microchipped. I’m the whole package!
In the morning I like to wake up and put my head on your chest. This is my way of giving you a good morning hug.
I will let you know in every way that I love you.
I just really want someone to love me back.
I will be your forever best friend.
Just show me attention, play with me, feed me and I’m yours! I promise if you adopt me it will be the best decision you have EVER made.
Please love me! I can’t wait to meet you!
Mutts with Manners (MWM) program was developed by DBCHS in 2009 to provide one-on-training and companionship for shelter dogs. Carefully-screened prison inmates are paired with shelter dogs for a program co-sponsored by Northpoint Training Center in Burgin, KY. Inmates, prison staff, and volunteers work together to provide dogs with basic obedience training, socialization, and behavior modification.
Prison inmates live with their dogs in the dormitory and attend weekly sessions with an expert volunteer dog trainer. MWM dogs are confident and well-socialized and will make an ideal companion for anyone.
Karma is fixed, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to go home with you. Apply now: dbchs.org/adopt and meet him at DBCHS between 1-4 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 1-7 pm Thursday and Saturday between 10 am-3 pm.
