During the Danville Independent School District Board of Education meeting on Feb. 26, the Danville High School Choir performed for the board to celebrate their upcoming trip to sing at New York City’s Carnegie Hall this spring.

“We are so excited about this, the students have been working really hard on their music,” said DHS Choir Director Dee Ann Gray. “I want to thank the board for all of your support. We feel it and we know it. We appreciate it.”

Danville Schools Superintendent Ron Ballard stated during the superintendent comments section of the meetings that going forward, he will be utilizing the time to provide updates and transparency to the board and public about progress in the school system’s five-year strategic plan. An outline of the strategic plan is now available on the Danville Schools website.

“I wanted to make it an ongoing, living, breathing document,” Ballard said.
