Opening Act Performing Arts has begun rehearsals for their next show, “Into the Woods Jr.”
Opening Act Performing Arts is a Danville-based nonprofit organization which allows kids to gain theater experience.
The cast features 30 kids aged six to 14. The show will be held at Danville High School’s Gravely Hall. Show dates are April 12, 13, and 14 at 3 p.m., with an additional showing on April 13 at 7 p.m.
“Rehearsals are going very well,” said Opening Act Artistic Director and Founder Emma Steberl. “The kids are ready for the challenge. ‘Into the Woods’ is a super challenging show and they are all doing amazing. We have a really good mix of new students and those who are coming back.”
The next show will be “Finding Nemo Kids” with a weeklong theater summer camp for kindergarten through fifth grade. Kids will learn all aspects of working in theater both on and off stage.
