Pet of the Week

Published 3:50 pm Wednesday, March 6, 2024

The Pet of the Week is Clark, a handsome young gent looking for love. Clark enjoys long walks on the beach, a good steak, and to listen to your stories. No, seriously, Clark is more of a guy who loves to run and would make an excellent midfielder for the local soccer team. He is a medium-sized dog with a gray-speckled coat and a huge smile.

Clark is a youthful three or 4-year-old who knows the importance of personal hygiene and looks his best for park dates. He is house-trained and enjoys learning new tricks to impress his humans.

Clark is looking for a forever home to let him run off-leash (a fenced yard or an enclosed park would be great). Energetic walks or running on a leash with his human sound great. He would love a doggy sibling but can also live with all the attention of an “only dog.” He has yet to make up his mind on cats. He is very high-energy and would like to be supervised with small children. Clark loves other dogs. He has played well with Maeve, a very energetic player, and Chevy, a very laid-back, mellow player. Simply put, Clark is an easy-going dog friend.

Clark is a water dog. He enthusiastically loves playing in it and will drink gallons if allowed. So, we suggest only giving him an average-sized water bowl and possibly removing it at night. He is almost perfectly housebroken, so there shouldn’t be any problems, but better safe than sorry.

Clark is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! Apply now: dbchs.org/adopt and meet him at DBCHS between 1-4 pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 1-7 pm Thursday, and Saturday between 10 am-3 pm. We hope to see you soon!
