Danville Children’s Choir members were part of South Regional Honor Choirs

Two Danville Children’s Choir members were selected to be part of the American Choral Director Association (ACDA) South Regional Honor Choirs.
Amelia Burton was selected for the Youth Treble Honor Choir for singers in grades 4-6, and Serenity Smithers sang in the Youth SATB Honor Choir for singers in grades 7-9.
The ACDA Southern Region includes 11 states and more than 1,700 singers auditioned to be part of the four choirs. This year’s Southern Regional Convention was held in Louisville February 21 to 24. The Danville Children’s Choir is so proud of Amelia and Serenity.
The Danville Children’s Choir will present their Spring Concert on Sunday, May 5 at 3 p.m. at Lexington Avenue Baptist Church. The concert is free and open to the public.
