Traffic stop leads to narcotic seizure

On March 6, Boyle County Sheriff Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Lexington Road (KY 34) near Chenault Bridge Road, on a vehicle for minor traffic violations.
During the traffic stop, deputies learned that the operator of the vehicle, identified as Paula Warner, had an active warrant for her arrest. Warner was placed in custody.
K9 Bruno was deployed around the vehicle showing a positive indication on the driver’s side. Deputies located a half ounce of methamphetamine in a dental floss package, cash, and pills in Warner’s purse.
Warner, of Lancaster, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine).
- Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.
- Prescription Controlled Substance not in a proper container.
- Careless Driving.
