Solarize Boyle program kicking off Monday

The Solarize Boyle program is having a kick-off event on Monday, March 18 at 10:30 a.m. in Weisiger Park.
Solarize Boyle is a collaboration between Boyle Fiscal Court, Danville City Commission, and Kentucky Solar Energy Society that will give area residents, small businesses, farms operations, and non-profit organizations a discounted cost for on-site solar.
Solarize Boyle will make it easier and safer to invest in solar by connecting participants with pre-screened and vetted solar installers and provide information on all federal incentives. The program is available to all contiguous counties. Solarize Boyle has no connection to “market solar” or “utility-level solar.” Neither Fiscal Court or City Commission or KySES have any financial responsibility; all contracts are between the customer and the installation contractor.
The group’s members include Preston Miles, Dan Nolet, and others. They evaluate proposals from several installation contractors. Final selection will be announced and promotion begins on March 18.
