Dyche Gregory, of Louisville, KY died peacefully at home on March 15, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold Steele Gregory and Margaret Dyche Gregory, and his son Geoffrey Todd Gregory. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary “Lindy” Best Gregory; children, Richard Scott Gregory, Jason Allen Gregory, and Shelby Gregory Fink (Jake); grandsons, Clayton Fink, Lucas Gregory, Kyle Gregory, and Jackson Renz; granddaughter, Audrey Fink; former daughter-in-law Chandra Renz; siblings, Russell Steele Gregory and Gayle Gregory King; beloved dog Phoebe.

Dyche was born in Danville, KY on July 25, 1946. He graduated from Danville High School and the University of Louisville. After moving to Louisville to attend college, he resided there the rest of his life. He became a commercial pilot and flight instructor while in college and he was a member of the Army Reserve for six years. He was involved in many aspects of the real estate business throughout his career, including both commercial and residential development, home building, commercial building, and he was a licensed Realtor/Broker in Louisville, Kentucky, and Florida. Dyche was an accomplished businessman who co-founded First Development Corporation, Middletown Marine, and The Data Vault as well as other companies. He enjoyed spending time at Herrington Lake and in Florida. Throughout his life, he was passionate about real estate development, boating, flying, and spending time with family.

He was a member of Owl Creek Country Club, Anchorage Presbyterian Church, Greater Louisville Association of Realtors, Home Builders Association of Louisville, and Chimney Rock Community Association. Dyche was also a founder, president, and member of Louisville Boat Dealers Association.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at Rattermans Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, Middletown, KY. The Funeral Service will be held at Anchorage Presbyterian Church, 11403 Park Road, Anchorage, KY on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 1:00 pm followed by a private family burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.
