Lois Jeffries

Lois O. Jeffries, 93, of Danville, passed away peacefully in her home on March 16th, 2024. Lois showed strength and love until her last breath. Lois was predeceased by her parents, Eddie Buford & Virgie Stella Carey, siblings John R. Carey, Donald Carey, Dorothy Stringfield, William Carey, and a son, Stuart Risden. Lois is survived by her husband of 74 years, William ‘Bud’ Jeffries, Sr, a son, William (Janice) Jeffries, Jr, of Danville, KY, six grandchildren, Jaclyn (Todd) Risden Hawley of Ashland, KY, Nicholas (Shannon) Risden of Harrodsburg, KY, Bradley (Kristina) Jeffries of Perryville, KY, Joseph Young of Jeffersonville, IN, Leia Risden of Danville, KY, and Tori (Ben) Pruitt of Perryville, KY, twelve great-grandchildren, Hannah Smith, Trinity Smith, Lukas Young, Peyton Jeffries, Raelyn Jeffries, Ellie Jean Pruitt, Lennox Young, Will Smith, Hudson Jeffries, Ava Jeffries, Carter Pruitt, and Lincoln Risden, a sister, Edna Coffman of Danville, and a special friend, Michelle Hill of Stanford. 

Lois retired from Whirlpool, where she was a loyal employee for over 20 years. She was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church along with her husband for over 30 years. She enjoyed visiting with family & friends, watching for hummingbirds each season, reading her Bible & daily devotionals, working crossword puzzles and word searches. She had once dedicated many hours to cross-stitching quilts & pillowcases for her loved ones. Lois also loved reading novels, traveling, watching Days of Our Lives and the Price is Right. 

In Lieu of Flowers, please send donations to Heritage Hospice of Danville, Kentucky. Funeral services 11am Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 and from 10-11am on March 20, 2024 at the funeral home.
