Woman arrested after attempting to drive over Perryville footbridge

Perryville Police Department, Perryville Fire Department and Emergency Management responded to an accident at South Buell and West 3rd Street in Perryville on March 22 around 9:45 p.m.
A pickup truck driven by Robin Brock had attempted to cross the footbridge over the Chaplin River. Brock refused to conduct any field sobriety test and became combative. She was placed under arrest by Officer Nunes and transported to Ephraim McDowell hospital to be examined.
When cleared, she was transported to Boyle County Regional Jail. The footbridge will be closed until an inspection is conducted to assess the damage.
