Danville Police arrests two on stolen property charges

On Thursday, March 28 at 6:40 p.m., Danville Police responded to Tractor Supply for a theft of a minibike valued at $799. During the investigation, police determined that a female suspect had removed the security cable and was last seen riding the bike away from the store.
Witnesses were able to follow the suspect and observed the bike being loaded into a black Chrysler HHR that was parked on Longview Drive. The suspect vehicle was last seen leaving the area traveling south on Hustonville Road.
Boyle County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to locate the vehicle at the Dollar General in Junction City. Officers and deputies were able to recover the stolen bike and numerous items of stolen clothing taken the previous day from a Family Dollar in Eubank.
The search of the vehicle also uncovered drug paraphernalia and prescription narcotics not prescribed to the suspect. Danville Police arrested 21-year-old Lindsey Barnett of Russell Springs.
Barnett was charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree, criminal mischief 1st degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Friday, March 29 at 11:30 a.m., Danville Police were alerted by Flock traffic cameras of a stolen vehicle being operated on Hustonville Road near the Danville Manor shopping center.
Officers canvassed the area for the 2004 Chevrolet Blazer entered stolen out of Casey County. Danville Police located the vehicle on Hustonville Road traveling south near the intersection of Hustonville Road and Shelby Street.
A traffic stop was performed and the driver, 28-year-old Devin Bottoms of Mackville, was taken into custody without incident. Bottoms was charged with receiving stolen property and driving on a DUI suspended license.
