Ephraim McDowell Bariatric Center welcomes advanced practice provider, Beth Alvey, APRN, FNP-C, to the team. Beth will start on April 22 and will join Dr. Tin Tran, general and bariatric surgeon.

Beth is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C).  Beth graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration.  She then went to complete her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015, and her Master of Science in Nursing for Family Nurse Practitioner at Campbellsville University in 2023.  She has worked in several areas within the Ephraim McDowell Health organization for nearly 8 years.  Beth has a passion for helping patients with obesity, weight management, and living their best life.

Beth and her husband Blake live in Harrodsburg with their two daughters, Haydon Grace and Sadie Michelle.  In Beth’s spare time, she and her husband spend time with their two girls attending their sport activities, raising chickens, and spending quality time with friends and family.
